À la suite de ses métamorphoses. Intérieures (in-), mystérieuses et obscures. Comme des genres d’étoiles scintillant dans la nuit (stars). Le papillon, de jour, et surtout de nuit : la mite, la pyrale, la teigne, la phalène, le sphinx, finit en image (imago). Une structure géométrique plane de symétrie vibrante, d’animation visuelle parfois pourvue d’yeux. Le papillon au vol heurté et silencieux est un être des airs, des mondes éthérés de l’abstraction, de l’intellection qui habite pourtant secrètement le même monde que nous. Petit fantôme qui ne vient que tardivement. Signe de la vision qui se cache dans l’ombre et est attiré par la pleine lumière. Âme qui revient et disparaît.
 
Pendant une semaine, elles, ils, sont venus de partout : de Chine, de Pologne, de Hollande, d’Estonie, de Russie, de Bulgarie, de Paris, Lyon et Nevers, pour travailler avec Rudy Guedj, Maxime Gonzales et Philippine Mangeart, à Ravisius Textor et Terrains Communs, autour de mondes fragiles d’apparitions à la lumière incertaine, à la l’habitabilité en suspens. Dans les fourrés, les laboratoires photographiques, les sucs des plantes, les flots de la Loire, sur les écrans lumineux, sous les frondaisons, les lumières phosphorescentes, avec des caméras infra-rouge, des micros directionnels, dans le cœur de la nuit, ils ont scruté. Ils ont rêvé. Ensemble ils se sont raconté des histoires. Ils se sont rencontrés. Dans l’obscurité, ils ont cherché la possible apparition, l’image, la lumière, le mouvement animé, la promesse d’un phénomène à partager.

After its interior metamorphoses (in-], mysterious and obscure, like kinds of stars twinkling in the night (stars), the butterfly, by day, and especially by night—the moth, the pyralid, the clothes moth, the geometrid, the sphinx—ends in image (imago). A flat geometric structure with vibrant symmetry, a visual animation sometimes endowed with eyes. The butterfly, with its erratic and silent flight, is a creature of the air, of the ethereal worlds of abstraction and intellection, yet it secretly inhabits the same world as we do. A little ghost that only appears late, a sign of vision hiding in the shadows, attracted by the full light. A soul that returns and vanishes.
 
For a week, they came from everywhere: from China, Poland, Holland, Estonia, Russia, Bulgaria, Paris, Lyon, and Nevers, to work with Rudy Guedj, Max Felix, and Philippine Mangeart at Ravisius Textor and Terrains Communs, exploring these fragile worlds of appearances under uncertain light, with their suspended habitability. In the undergrowth, in photographic laboratories, in the plant juices, in the currents of the Loire, on luminous screens, under the foliage, in phosphorescent lights, with infrared cameras, directional microphones, in the heart of the night, they observed. They dreamed. Together, they told each other stories. They met. In the darkness, they sought the possible apparition, the image, the light, the animated movement, the promise of a phenomenon to share.
